How to measure a scythe blade

Scythe blades are traditionally measured in a straight line from tip to heel (the back of the tang). This dimension given in inches or centimeters does not represent the length of the cutting edge. Scythe Supply uses the traditional measure in describing our blades. These blades are handmade so allow for a +/- tolerance in any of the measurements that we give.
